Full Kitchen Remodel
The room stripped back and rebuilt, usually six to twelve weeks of construction once the cabinets arrive
Service Area
Rosenberg sits immediately west of Richmond, roughly fifteen miles from Sugar Land along US 59, and it has grown substantially as development has pushed west through Fort Bend County. The result is a city with two distinct kinds of kitchen work: modest older houses near the original core, and large volumes of subdivision housing from the last twenty years.
In the older housing, kitchens tend to be small and closed, and the highest-value project is usually cabinetry and counters rather than a structural change. A small kitchen remodel here runs $18,000 to $38,000, and the storage design does more for daily life than any finish upgrade. Drawer banks in place of base cabinet doors is the single change households notice most.
The newer subdivision stock is a different exercise. Builder-grade kitchens in houses from the 2000s and 2010s were generally laid out sensibly but finished economically: thermofoil or thin-veneer doors, laminate or entry-level granite tops, a recirculating microwave hood over the range instead of a ducted one, and can lights that light the floor rather than the counter. Replacing those four things transforms the room for $25,000 to $45,000 without touching the layout.
The recirculating hood is worth singling out. A hood that filters and returns the air to the room does very little about grease, moisture or heat, and in a climate where the house is closed up and air conditioned for most of the year, that moisture has nowhere to go. Running a duct to the outside is one of the cheapest genuine improvements in a kitchen.
Rosenberg issues its own building permits. As in Richmond, a Rosenberg mailing address does not automatically mean an address inside the city limits, so the jurisdiction gets confirmed before anything is submitted.
A walkthrough at the house, then a written price split across cabinetry, counters, appliances and labor. The quote costs nothing either way.
Every scope below is priced for this market, with what drives the number.
The room stripped back and rebuilt, usually six to twelve weeks of construction once the cabinets arrive
New doors, drawer fronts and veneered face frames over cabinet boxes that are still sound, at roughly a third of replacement cost
Cabinetry built to the room rather than to a catalogue grid, which is what a two-storey Sugar Land kitchen with an immovable soffit usually needs
Templated after the cabinets are set, fabricated off site, and installed on a run that has been levelled first
Adding an island, or replacing one that is too small, too tall or in the wrong place for how the kitchen gets used
Taking down the wall between a closed 1980s kitchen and the family room, which is the single most common structural request in this market
Galley and townhome kitchens where every inch of run is spoken for and the win comes from storage rather than square footage
Texas does not license general contractors or remodelers. The trades are licensed, the city permit is the paper trail, and here is how to check what can be checked.
The Vertisol clays under Sugar Land swell and shrink seasonally, and the slab moves with them. A kitchen shows it first. Here is what is normal and what is not.
Interior work is generally outside what a declaration reaches. The dumpster, the parking, the work hours and anything touching an exterior wall usually are not.
Call (832) 500-7858, or send the details through the form and a local kitchen remodeler prices the job. The quote is free either way.
